Re: Spark Plug Wires
i am not sure how your wires run. but i am 90% sure VR6 or 16v vw wires would be good for you.
just watch out on opting for a performance wire based on color, a lot of color specific wires tend to throw misfire codes on sensitive ignition systems.

Re: Spark Plug Wires
Or, if you wanna go the cheap route you can cover your plug wires with a colored wire loom. You can get it at any parts store or trailer shop/semi parts shop. It also helps protect your wires a little bit from heat or sharp edges.

Re: Spark Plug Wires
So...
Does any performance company make wire sets for our cars?
Or they all generic cut to fit?
Any recommendations before I hit up Autozone?
Thanks
Jason

Re: Spark Plug Wires
well my car has the coil pack right on the spark plug.
i thought someone carried them for aveos, they are magnecore brand wires in an 8.5mm.
based on your engine design though, instead of buying universal wire which probably are not made for the deep holes or spark plugs reside in, i would buy performance wires for ea 16v vw (9A) ENGINE, as the design is similar ( i think it would bevery usable if someone wantsto try it) and would provide a few options.

Re: Spark Plug Wires
Some part numbers I picked off of the Magnacore website:
7 mm: 47332
8 mm: 40332
8.5 mm: 45332
as of 2008
MSD did not have anything for a 2007 Aveo with 1.6 L

Re: Spark Plug Wires
7.5 vs 8.5?
Is the difference worth it?
Is there any noticable difference in performance?
Milage?

Re: Spark Plug Wires
Why waste your money on colored wires when you only see 1/15th of the wire's length cause its hidden under the plastic engine cover.
I had the 8.5 magnacore wires on my 1.6 and they made absolutely no difference.
