Postby ozzy » Mon Jan 25, 2010 7:36 pm

well here it is. I got it brand new as I needed a car that would start every day

after haveing the car over a year with out doing any mods to it the time was right to make a start on it and go for the merdered out look ( paint it all black )

I took a car in part x for 1 of my old cars and it had some 15" alloys on it. as they fit my kalos I gave them a try

Image

Image

as they fit good I got some new tyres put on them and painted them gloss black

Image

Image

also I fitted a cone air filter

Image

here is the car with the new alloys fitted

Image

I got some head light covers of ebay and I painted them black on the inside

the head light covers can not stay on all the time as you can not see the lights when they are on but they will look cool at car shows and meets

next plans are to lower it and to paint the body satin black with some gloss parts here and there

Very nice car. Yeah, satin black is in right now but it's still radical enough that you don't see it often. My 87' Jetta Coupe is flat black. Welcome to AveoNetwork.com.

there is not alot of satin or mat black cars over here and not this new anyway. also people do not do mods on kalos's or aveo's so my car will stand out big time. most owners of aveo's / kalos are old people and people dont like daewoo's over here so they still look at my chevy as a daewoo. so when they see my kalos they may not know what it is lol

my new lowering springs will be here soon and as they are for a vauxhall corsa D they may need a bit of work to fit them but boths cars are about the same on the under side and alot of parts are the same. so they should fit ok

its now lowered. I have been looking into other cars that may have the same suspension and the best mach I could find was the 2009 vauxhall corsa D and they are the same. so I got some lowering springs to fit a corsa.

the 30mm springs for a corsa D

this is how it was befor I started

and this is with the back springs fitted

and with the front droped. I think it needs to go down abit more tho

the best bit is they cost me £67 so about $80 / $90 and that was to my door with shiping.

I think I may of found away for you guys to get the back end of your aveos very low. so let me know if you want any springs sending over from the uk

also my back box came today

67 pound with shiping for all 4 springs on ebay.co.uk. I did not know if a vauxhall part would fit. they looked the same so I just got the cheapest I could find.

the springs I used was for a 30mm drop for the corsa but it looks more like 70 to 80mm drop on the back.

if you want to go alot lower on the back springs I can get a 60mm drop springs. ( I am going to try 60mm drop springs on the front )

no rubbing at all and the wheels have 195 / 50/ 15 tyres and the offset is 38 so they stick out a bit.

I am still looking into vauxhall corsa coilovers to see if they will fit the kalos / aveo. both cars are made by GM and have the same engines and as I have found out the springs are the same
