I am wanting to use the stock fog lamp assembly, but mainly for driving lights. I know the HELLA H4 lights are used for off road, but there is a set that they make specifically for driving lights. I had some on my 95 Silverado and they made a world of difference with the low beams. Plus, I like the stock look and the capability of having them switched so I can use them with the high beams. So technically I wouldnt be breaking the law.
Sorry I didnt clarify...lol.
edit: I guess the best way would be to get those rectangular driving lights like I was talking about and carefully cut a hole to fit them in the bottom front bumper. I think I will get that switch (the hazard switch) and paint it like someone mentioned here. It would look awesome.
Anyone else here installed driving lights on their aveo? IF so, how and what kinds did you use?
If you use the factory fog lights you won't have to cut anything, the covers should just pop out. and what I meant about H4's is an H4/9003 is a Dual Beam Headlight Bulb, not a Fog/Driving Bulb. It wont work in that housing, you don't need dual beam anyways. I think if you hack up holes to fit that generic Hella square light it will look like crap. You can get any foglight to come on with your highbeams with a simple relay, we do it all the time on our cars up here for "Moose Lights". In fact you can have it so they come on with a switch and when you flip your highbeams on both. Oh, that was me that suggested the hazard switch...I'm a big guy and always seem to snap toggle switches with my knees when I get into cars.

I think I paid $80 US a piece for fog lights on my 09'. I think the chrome rings were like $12 bucks a piece plus shipping. Idk, I have it all posted here somewhere in the Foglamp Confusion Thread.

Yeah, you ordered yours used of eBay though didn't you? If I could've found them on eBay at the time I would have bought them, but I just ordered mine new from gmpartsdistributor.com.
