Input needed. Turbo vs. N/A

30,000 miles on the car. 100,000 mile factory warranty.
Life time oil changes might be jeopardized.

Intake/Exhaust/Header
vs.
much slowner assebly of a turbo kit.

I am torn. Gonna order xiaogary's parts and I have hit a split in the road. Input?

It's all about personal preference brother. I love the idea of someone turbo-ing and Aveo. It's cool. Not ideal for me though. I bought the Aveo because it was cheap, the warranty and I don't have to change the oil. Quite honestly for me if I want to drive something fast I'd rather drive one of my other cars or buy a different project and put the money into starting from a much more reasonable platform. If anything I would leave yours and put that money towards looking for an Aveo that gutted in a junk yard...If you're stuck on modding an Aveo...At least then part of the work of a motor swap is already done. I just drive my Daytona when I wanna go fast.

i would think the warranty is easier to void with a turbo bolted on than just the header and cai...

thinking as a dealer. So the question is how important is the warranty to you..?

i myself am waiting for 50k to build, i am almost 1/2 there.

if you wanna keep it simple and dependable as the aveo is for the most part, stay with the minor things I would say, turbos take a lot of maintance to keep up, including decreasing the life of the engine I would assume

Daytona? 2.2 Turbo?

Thanks guys. For now, I will go the KISS method.

But, another toy is probably out. Don't know that the wifey will appreciate another set of tires in the driveway.

But a 1989 2.5 turbo Caravan would be an awesome sleeper. I alway loved this sticker:
