New car

Postby Denis » Fri Feb 19, 2010 8:49 pm

thank u every one for your suggestions on what car i should replace my aveo with, like i said in the last post the 2004 aveo with 35 000 miles is being sold to a family member for $5000 and will still be in the family so i can still use it.

after considering many options, high mileage civic SI, sentra se-r spec-v, and tiburon GT v6, all of those cars are 2002-2004 and all have 100 000 miles on them. then i though why not get a almost new aveo with super low mileage, but they dont come with keyless, power windows, power locks, fogs, spoiler, 6 speaker stereos like my 04 does, so i cant make my self down grade, then i found the perfect car for the price i wanted to pay.

Suzuki Forenza (Chevy Optra in Canada) there are alot of them still on dealer lots, they are biger then the aveo, have the 2L 127hp engine , they ride nicer, have more toys then my 04 aveo like express down driver window, and 8 speaker stereo, have more room in the trunk for a system. they have the same reliability as the aveo, which i personally consider awesome. oh and 90% of my mods can be transferred to the new car.

so after a quick search i found a 2007 Suzuki Forenza in Black with 13 000 miles, factory warranty, all power options and a 5 speed manual for 6 990$, and with cash on hand i will attempt to get it for 6000$ including tax.

just have to wait to get cash for the aveo.

what ya guys think, dumb move or right move?

Very smart investment. That's a very good find. Personally I would buy it. And it's the right color. :D

Very cool, congrats man. Buying a new car is like witnessing one of your children get born...at least with VW's anyways. :D

ok, here is my new choice, 2007 in Black with 13 000 miles, and a 5 speed manual or 2008 in Blue with 17 000 miles and 4 speed auto ,

08 Blue has cruise control that the 07 does not but the 08 Blue is also 250 miles away from me in dif state, but the 07 Black is 60 miles away and is the in the same state.

both are 6 900$ and i can get both for 6000$

what would u boys pick?

PS how hard is it to buy a car out of state?

go with the manual if you want, though the auto is a good deal too. Buying a car out of state just cost a few hunderd more depending where you live, all the transfer fees and other crap
