DIY Cruise Control under $25.
Ok, so this only applies to aveo's 2006 and up. In 2006 the aveo went to a drive-by-wire system. If you have an 04-05 or a european 1.4L or 1.2L you still run on a throttle cable so this will not work for you. Anyways, go to the dealer and order a factory cruise control switch. Price varies, but it should be like 22 bucks or something. The GM part# is 96433106 So, you want to find your IP harness. It's on the the driver's side under the dash on the firewall to the left. There should be 2 plugs there I believe, unplug the top one. There should be 2 wires that are green and white. They should be in ports 6 and 7. Splice your wires from your new switch into those, it does not matter which way they both work. Solder it and heat shrink it and that's it! Now, you have to get creative about where you mount your new switch because you cannot mount it on the side of the steering wheel without buying a clock spring and taking apart your steering column and who wants to do all that. AvEoblue mounted his on the wiper lever. Not how I would've mounted it but just to show you what the switch looks like.

that one is not a factory kit, that is a universal cruise kit.
if you wanted the factory look, the clock spring is @$100. added to the cruise switch, is still cheaper than that kit...

I wouldn't mind the factory look. and 100 for the clock spring isn't to bad. But how hard is it to remove the wheel and do all that. What about the airbag...Not sure I'm up for that.

Re: DIY Cruise Control under $25.
i have installed dozens of airbags, it not as hard as you think.
if you disconnect the battery and let it drain (wait like 20 minutes) then nothing can happen while you remove it.
if you hook it up exactly how you take it apart, it wont blow when you put the battery back in.
i can't say i ever got comfortable putting the key in and starting the car after doing them though, and i have never had one blow up in my face.
usually there are two bolt or screws you can barely see on the back side of the wheel that will release the airbag, then you unplug it from the clock spring.
i am not sure about daewoo built cars, but the clockspring is typically under the steering wheel so you need a puller for that (most of the time, some will come loose with just undoing the bolt) and then sometimes (on some of the gms) there is a plate and snap ring you need to remove to get to the clockspring. most cars the clock sping is the next part, just unplug it, and you snap in the new on.
EVEN so, to pay labor to do this would be like 2-3 hours.. so another $150-300 bucks.
a few questions i would be interested to find out. one is if some cars already have the correct clock spring, (some are wired for AC some are not, same with fogs, etc). Second, if plugging in the clockspring into the dash harness would be all you need to do, or if you would still need to jump to those green wires. Third, if the clockspring has the plug on it for a factory connection at the cruise switch
if the clockspring install makes everything a "plug and play" install without additional wires, i think it would be worth it.

you would still need to remove the airbag and steering wheel to plug on the clockspring.
