Re: "racing" seats
dont buy no name seats
you just have to havr the brakcets made, there was one site that had them though, and the rails too, but spend the extra money and buy sparco or something, those seats are dangerous, plus, since the airbags are disconnected, i would suggest a 5-point harness

Re: "racing" seats
i think so, but even those look kind of cheap, i remember reading somewhere that using cheap seats have caused injury in a wreck compared to those with higher quality, the numbers where crazy, i wouldnt recommend them

Re: "racing" seats
I can attest to this subject. I had 2 of those simulated black leather racing seats from M&O Shucks or I guess yall' probably call it O'Reily's AutoParts down there...anyways, I had those and got rear-ended in my truck and the seat actually snapped in half from the impact. DO NOT buy no-name seats just because they look cool and are cheap. Honestly the only seats I recommend are Sparco, Momo, Bride or MasterCraft. Seriously, looking cool in a set of cheap racing seats isn't worth your life...why risk it? Just my .02.

Re: "racing" seats
wolfman hating on recaro?
i agree, if i recall the ones the fail have plastic side locks and plates? know which it has is kind of a when it shows up tear it apart kind of thing too. Not that better seat dont also use plastic in some cases, but they are impact tested if they are name brand.
my recommendation is to even find seats from another car, or get katskins for your current seats. those racing seats might look cool (to you, not a fan) but they also lack padding and other things that make them even remotely comfortable for more than a 20 minutes ride.
