The Perfect Speaker For Our Doors
Is there is anybody looking to upgrade to some better sound for their Aveo, but are afraid of the magnets on 6.5's hitting the window mechanism even with a spacer? I was having the same issue with many speakers (including the Hertz set I bought) and finally found some kick ass speakers that require absolutely no extra space! The Kenwood Excelon XR-S17P series are probably the THINNEST 6.5's I have EVER seen! The magnet is inverted, so its on top of the speaker. The sound is amazing too. I highly recommend them to anybody

Re: The Perfect Speaker For Our Doors
Are these fitting with or without spacers?
Re: The Perfect Speaker For Our Doors
With a spacer(needed to convert from 5" to 6.5") I will keep working on a drop in 5"/5.25" solution that is a direct fit. I will keep you updated.

Re: The Perfect Speaker For Our Doors
I'll have to check if the newer door panels have room for a spacer, 1"?
How would these sound powered by the stock head unit?

They sound great powered off of head unit power and even better when amplified!
