09 Aveo Engine light

Engine light has been on in my car for a month now. I went to the dealer to get it looked at. Since i am over my 30k warranty I payed them to to plug it in. They said it was the o2 censor. The part was 300$ or something. I said for get it. A week later the light went off. Then it came back on then off. It did that about 5 times. Now it is staying on. Any ones car done this too?

Sounds like a broken connection on 1 of the 2 wires coming from your o2 snesor. Possibly damaged by heat, you might check it out.

I have't had that but had very bad ignition problem before.
I went to the dealer and got it fix.

my o2 just went yesterday. but my car wont even run with it bad.

i'm still under warranty, 5/50.

i already had bad ignition once. it wouldn't start n would stall for no reason. i got that fixed. not im having o2 problems. i got 42000 miles so they wont cover it but i did buy extended warranty. but i guess that don't cover much.

yup i had this issue the light was coming on and i managed to repair it however it was shortly eaten by the fan. woops! didn't break the wires and couldn't see any actual damage checked out the wires with a metre nothing wrong there cleaned the sensor out and it cleared off again for about a week. ended up replacing the sensor for £105 uk pounds so wasn't half as bad as stealership. it's easy enough to replace the sensor yourself. unscrew from the manifold unclip from the cable replace and reset the fault light never come back on yet and iv done about 2500 miles now so all good compaired to 306 quid from stealership lol

If the codes a P0133, Theres a reflash for the ECM. My car did it this morning. I reflashed it when I got to work...So far so good
