Holly crap this snow is getting rediculous. We havn't had the much snow in a single storm in 30 years. Shoot we've got almost 80 cm of snow on the ground right now its insane. We're usually wondering if we're even going to have any snow for cristmas. Not a problome this year. Their calling for part of the canal by early january. This is going to be an awsome winter.
i just watched Sicko the doc. about the health care system in the U.S. and i am ready to move to CANADA
if your for real, then DON'T, europe is the way to go, if not then US.Quote:

Funny they have a cashier that only pays money out to the people never to take money. i got Coloitus and spent 9 days in the hospital and was in the E.R. my whole bill was $9,000.00 i do not have any insurance for health care but i am on Workers Comp so i haven't worked in 3 years so they just took my bill and said i didn't have to pay. i lucked out but i had to use the E.R. and then tell them in Billing i had not worked nor did i own anything like a car (My Aveo is in my Mom's Name We did that for Other reasons) but you have to be dirt poor in the U.S. to get good Health Care.
Yeah god damn snow, im sick of shoveling it, my car is so damn low im like a snowplow lol i gotta clean the damn rad each time cause snow packs up between it and the bumper
Well can't say I have to shovel. That's why we've got a tractor with a snow blower :D . Living on a farm has its advantages. I was seriously looking into lowering mine this fall, then I thought about what a pain it would be in the snow. Now I'm kindov glad I waited.
Hey fellow Canucks!
I'm in Gatineau, just across the river stuck in 4 feet of snow. Since you guys were bitching about snow already! :P
Now we got our selves a snow storm. They figure dam near 2 feet by the time its all over. I just watched a pack of sleds go tearin' right down the middle of Dunrobin rd. at about 120. The drift to get in my back door was past the door knob. I love it. Welcome to Canada :P
im so jealous! i want at least 2 feet of snow... :cry:Quote:

Hey folks. :> Well I am from Ottawa,
Wife and I just bought the 2008 Aveo Hatchback LT. Yellow. With spoiler (couldn't help myself :>)
We are really loving this little car. We got it for the wife as a commuter car, but it's mainly to replace our Mazda MPV. We will still use the van, but only if we need the space.
New to Ottawa Aveo. Waiting on delivery of my Aveo5 Team Canada edition go-cart. Granite black exterior with charcoal interior. Sounds kinda goth, eh?
Welcome to the forum. Will the new Team Canada car also come with 13 gold medals? :D
anyone still here?
I realize it's been a while since anyone posted here, but I'm (obviously) in Ottawa. I'm open to meeting some other owners. I'm just starting to get some ideas together on how to mod my car(engine/performance mods mostly) and would love to get some input and see some of the mods others have done.
Welcome to the forum ottawaveo.
Hopefully your post stirs up some activity - there's a decent number of members in the Ottawa area... but a lot of the posts are old, so they might not be checking in.
I'm in and around the Ottawa Area.
Hi all back in my home town. I was born in Ottawa, Alta Vista to be exact, and then to Parkwood Hills in then Nepean. I was in the army for 31 years, spending the last years of my career in Ottawa, living at Uplands on the base. I retired in 2008 and moved here to Izmir, Turkey with my turkish wife. Had two stock Aveo's when back in Ottawa, a 2004 LT, was wrote off in an accident, the other guys fault in 2006, a little over 2 years after getting it. Great service by my insurance company, they contacted me to see if I wanted the same model of car from the same dealer, I said yes. The dealer didn't have an LT so they had to give me a 2006 LTZ, no cost to me, a sweet deal. Even the dealer couldn't believe it. Great cars with snows in the winter, never had a problem with them. Moved here and last year bought a 2010, new, Aveo SE automatic, with the price of gasoline here near 2.60 CAD a litre, it was hard on the gas. Just got a new 2012 Aveo 1.3 litre 75 hp diesel LT with start/stop last week. Couldn't be happier, great mileage so far, and euro diesel is cheaper then unleaded over here. The start/stop works exactly as advertised. Anyways, just saying hi to everyone with an Aveo back in Ottawa, the best hometown around! Cheers from Izmir.
Hello All - I thought I would keep this thread going. I am currently living in Gatineau. I have a 2005 Suzuki Swift+ that I am trying to keep going for a few more years (I really don't want to have 2 car payments at the same time). Hopefully, with the great resources here on aveoforum, I can do that... As long as I don't fubar my engine when I try my timing belt this summer. I have changed my own wipers and floor mats before, so I think I am ready for a timing belt. :toothy8:
