I'm pretty sure the only place the Aveo stores mileage is in the IPC. If you're concerned about a rollback, it's best to either avoid the car or factor that into the price you're willing to pay for it. If you're questioning replacing the IPC, the dealer can program the old mileage into the new IPC...but the replacement IPC must be new; the dealer will not have the ability to reset mileage in a used IPC.

A speedometer shop can reset the mileage, but you would have to send the IPC to them.

There is some "good" news if you're looking to buy...the Aveo is one of the more difficult IPC,s to do a rollback on.
