You can tell he practiced that course a lot, look at all the rubber on the pavement. The revlimiter in those cars is designed to modulate, rather than just drop like in a regular road car, making it a useful tool. An upshift and the wheel would probably stop spinning. If he wasn't on the rev limiter, he'd probably stop sliding.
Gymkhana isn't about the racing line, or the "proper" way to take the corner... it's more like formula-d... speed and style.
That being said, I definitely respect Ken Block more than say: Travis Pastrana and Dave Mirra. Ken is a great driver, hands down, and he knows how to market, getting him where he is.
his car prob cost over $100,000?
he did troll the subie boys though, they are still mad
i bet its closer to half a mil.. or atleast with all the extra parts/tires etc..
Thats what i thought at first, about 500k or so, but I was looking online and found some estimates that place it a lot less, but nothing for sure
Keep in mind that's just the gymkhana car... through the Monster world rally team, he also drives a rally-prepped fiesta (I would say monster has at least two, just for Ken...)
I believe he personally owns a rally prepped Ford Escort Mk2 as well. Possibly Colin Mcrae's old car?
wouldn't surprise me if it was Colin's old one.... p.s. if subaru is looking for a driver.... =) hi.
Dude, what kind of car is this?
A Chevy Aveo.
Piece of crap....
Why? because its faster than your brothers civic? or because it gets better gas mileage than your scion?
-silence-
Speaking of Colin... Travis wrecked Colin's old pignose STi (used at the first X-Games "rally" event) at 100 acre wood... it was a left turn for anyone who's wondering.
think that video made it to you tube yet? i cant seem to find it?
