      Did my first autocross today!

So, as a soon to be "empty nester", I've been searching for hobbies to do, that are fairly inexpensive. Enter autocross! Any way, I went and had a really good time. Even though I had a good time, my poor aveo (Zomberry) was the slowest and saddest car on the track. The only car I beat was a 2012 Sonic, and that was because the driver killed a couple of cones So, next on the agenda (when I get some money) is to get some better tires. I compete in the H Street class, so mods are pretty restrictive. Unfortunately I have an 05 Aveo, so they only came with 14 x 5.5 wheels. The class I'm in says I can go up one inch in size but the wheel width has to stay the same. Maybe I'll keep driving the Aveo for a couple of years until I can buy a "real" race car!

What class do you compete in? I compete in HS class. Very few mods are allowed. Your wheels probably wouldn't be allowed in my class, or the lowered springs either. My concern is if I decide to upgrade and go to a different class, I'd still be outmatched due to better performing cars (more horsepower).

Very cool. I've always wanted to do that, but I've never done it.

It's fairly cheap to do. Just make sure to read the rules first, regarding mods to your car. :0)

Those are some nice set of wheels, Melveo. What specific rims are they? I'm planning to buy a new set from 4WheelOnline and I'm still looking for suggestions.
