      Drag Racing

      ...so who has actually run their Aveo?

      Once we develop our turbo system(s) for this car, we want to hit 13's at least.... maybe after some further development of the chassis. Kinda moot point to do much with the chassis when it doesn't make any power to push it anywhere NEAR the limits...

      your 10 will probably be a little slower, unless the taller gearing lets you eliminate a shift. but the taller gearing is worse. for drag racing..

      I'm expecting mid 18s with it. Like I said the only reason my '05 was running 16.0s was because I had it completely gutted, < 1800 lbs and was also running on drag slicks and MT skinnies in the rear. I do wish B&M still made a short shifter for this car though because the shifting is horrible. I bought the one they made for the '05 and it made a HUGE difference. I know you're not talking about the gear shifting when you're talking about the gear ratios, I just wanted to point out the horrible shifting anyways.

      I baselined my car at a local 1/8th mile..It ran an 11 sec flat..cant remember the mph..backed it up twice. All I did was take out the air filter, left about 4k and powershifted 2nd n 3rd about 6k. In my opinion, not bad for the little car. I now have cai and plan on doing the underdrive pulley and exhaust and going back. It should pick up quite a bit but w/o a way to tune these cars I dont see it getting in the 9s w/0 further mods and extensive weight reduction

      I'm puttin 1000hp in a baby carriage as soon as I get back from my trip to the padded room hotel.
