Anyone here have a xmod(s)? And race them? I have found a few forums but I'd rather talk to some people here (people I know) about them.

haha i remember those, i had an rsx one, but i lost some of the parts, i also have an f150
I have my Skyline around here somewhere... I did quite a bit to it before it went in a box somewhere...
I got some broken xmods from work and put them together to work, so I have a mutt. It's a transformers BumbleBee (New Chevy Camaro concept)body on a transformers Barricade (2007 Mustang Saleen) chasis with upgraded rims and suspension. I have metal bearings, a 52,000rpm motor, and an lsd on the way. My ultimate goal is to make it do a stand on launch
Post pics if you got 'em!
I used to have a civic until I cut the springs and ruined it, and I have a supra with a lot of upgrades but I never use it anymore. Its fun to get it in your garage and drift using tire shine...
what the ****? i wanna play! where can i get one?
Online, or RadioShack. But I'd call RadioShack before I'd go out to one as most "Shacks" in my district are sold out of the new ones and they no longer carry the older ones. Or eBay is a good place to find some of the older onesQuote:

lol just bought the supra...gonna make it a drifter i think :D
so how fast can these things actually go?
and I saw auctions that say "ready to drift" can they actually drift and stuff?
What can these things do?
well more like fishtail then drifting... as for how fast, 10-15mph, with my mods i'll be getting 20-22mph
I was going to get a propulse, but since I got these xmods for free from work i figured why bother, lol
radio shack makes a lot of stuff aftermarket for them but if you go to the xmod forum they have tons of links to other sites that sell even faster motors and turbos and what not.Quote:

We probably wont, we usually just get ones back that we are currently selling, the sti was in the 1st generation xmods and now we're selling the EVO generation (evo = evolution, NOT mitsubishi evo). But I'll keep an eye outQuote:

The cop car is a parts car since it doesn't spin the wheels
so what would one need to know if they are interested in buying an xmod :?:
ebay.com
haha
that and join http://www.xmodsource.com/forum/index.php
they have a lot of good info and some good deals on cars too.
and ebay has some really nice deals on some that already have some upgrades to them but they are a lil pricey like 50+ bucks

but if your talented enough you can get the bodies to match up on either gen of them.
:) I have a nissan skyline that looks like 2 fast 2 furious silver skyline, and a black honda civic that one its almost stock but the skyline car go up to 25 mph.
Could you get a body of another car on an xmods chassis, from say a 1/24 model kit?
Could one make an Aveo?
im sure if you know a good fiberglasser or hobbyist you could. It'd take a lot of custom fab though
I asked over on another board. Someone took a model of a car like I want to use and brought it down to radio shack for a test fit.
They said it fit on a chassis almost perfect. Just have to find a way to mount the body.
Seems like nothing some superglue and a hot exacto knife couldnt accomplish.
I might get into these..
damn be careful, u might make the xmod aveo faster than ur real aveo LOLZ!!!
Make sure they have one out to actually look at and that they arent just bs'ing you.Quote:

i have 4 or 5 ive been doing it for years now lots of fun lots of money if you get custom parts not the xmod brand ive spent to much on this hobby and wanting to sell my stuff any takers.,,
Wish I had money now, Could get into this easily.
I had the Z06 one back in the day I wonder what happened to that little sucker
Hey guys...I just want to say that this is quiet interesting information. keep it up.
I have a skyline that I spent a fortune on. Going awd is a mistake, don't do it, it cuts your speed significantly, and the splines on the transfer gear wear out really fast. Costing you lots of money.
