09' Pontiac G3 Short Ram Intake

Baby steps. It's not nearly done, I'm having tubing bent so I can get that mess of factory intake hose out of there. Also would like to get some more use out of the wheel well scoop that's down there somehow. But until then.. Here it is.

I can notice the sound coming from the intake around 2.5/3k rpm's, or if I'm just gassing it heavily.

to use that wheel well "scoop" you need to get rid of the box that's below that hole. It is VERY restricting. The best way to get a use out of that scoop is to have someone bend you another piece of pipe/tube, install it to go down into that hole, and put an AEM air bypass valve where your cone sits right now, while moving the cone down to the end of the tube/pipe going down into the hole, making it into a nice CAI... So you can get a little more cold air (slight increase in power) besides the sound.

i didnt know an air filter was heavy enough to bend the ac line.
but removing the resonator box would be your first step now,
      its just dead weight anyways.

Is the benefit of a CAI that much greater then what I have going now, AveoJoe? :P And Anthony, thank you so much for chiming in on that. I'd been wondering for awhile if that would cause any problems... I'll put in the bottom bracket tomorrow.

yes I got some pipe and the filter is in the fender engine idles better and runs cooler. Look at it this way racing cars have hood scoops Corvette,Firebirds have ram air ''cool air'' from outside NOT Hot air from the engine compartment.
