      Ahhhhhhhh Haaaaa!!! Here's the problem i've been searching for!

      Pistons 2 and 3 are broken between the compression and oil scraper rings.

      I ordered 2 new pistons today should take 2-3 days for the dealer to get them in. If everything goes well after that i should be able to start it up for the weekend!

      Nope when i took out the pistons the broken pieces were still there, just cracked loose, i tapped the pistons on the wood to break them off. Cylinder walls are as smooth as a baby's butt lol

      Wow, seeing parts of pistons like that brings back bad memories. I blew 2 motors on the focus hatch that I had. Anyways, can't wait to hear that you have it back up and running this weekend.

      Ok been a while since an update and some good news.

      Last weekend i started the rebuild but decided to take out the other 2 pistons that had 180 psi compression to chek them out, turn out both were cracked as well, so i had to order 2 more pistons, needless to say i ended up spending my vacation waiting for parts!!

      Then i went to a local shop to have the wrist pins pressed out and the rods installed on the new pistons with new pins.

      Heres what the new pistons look like:

      Today i managed to pretty much finish it up, all that's left now is do the oil return line, wire up the oil scavange pump and fire it up!

      Compression is 200 psi on all 4 cylinders, can't be happier.

      I just need to run to the store tomorow to pick up some 3/4 inch hose, i accidently bought some 1/2 inch hose, so it's too small for the fittings. It was starting to rain as i finished up today so it's all good timing

      looks like a lot of progress has been made!

      is that where you are mounting the pump?
      is there any "warning" about having it at a higher level than the source or anything like that?
