Yes that's where the pump will be located, i just have to secure it better then that.
There's no problem putting it there, it can suck up oil from 5 vertical feet below it and pump it 20 feet above.

looks good,
Nice to see it up and running again. You've made alot of effort for this car. How long has it been sitting there?
I crashed my car a few nights back. The entire front is all gone, broke the radiator and stuff.
I dont know how long its gonna take for it to live again
hi sir..im just curious..is the megasquirt adaptable/universal to aveo's with the 1.2L ENGINE? i was actually looking through your thread and i'd say your car's engine is great... i'm in the process of research and i figured why don't i just boost my engine and be done with it..my problem though is how to go about the ECU,FUEL part etc..we can fabricate everything here except the ECU..your inputs will really help my project..thanx and kudos to you for a job well done..
Megasquirt can definitely work with your engine, in fact it works with any engine.
How exactly you adapt it to your engine that im not certain of. Right now i have the stock ecu control spark ignition and all the goodies and the megasquirt control fuel injection only since megasquirt is not compatible with my ignition system. It works good, but i need to leave the stock injectors plugged into the harness because the ecu freaks out if it doesnt see injector activity.
My ultimate goal is to run full standalone using a system like Ford's EDIS ignition system which is 100% compatible with megasquirt and very easy to use. You will probably need to do something similar like this if you want to run megasquirt.
Im sure there are way better engine management systems out there. Megasquirt is nice and cheap but it takes some custom work and alot of do-it-yourselfness involved.

Car looks and sounds great! I'm glad you were able to get it up and running again. Can we expect any track times or videos to see it go?

I will think of a better signature later.
Oh yea as soon as i fix this clutch issue im having, ill post a small driving video, im still on the 100% stock ecu at the moment to get the engine and clutch broken in, you can still hear some slight spooling and blow off sounds tho.
I just have to be extra carefull not to push it too much, ive driven it a few times slowly around my block already, the engine is extremely smooth runs very well.
Im taking the transmission off right after im done writting this post to fix the clutch. The pressure plate is compressed way too much because the new kevlar disc i have is thicker so even with my foot to the floor the pressure plate's travel is already maxed out and doesnt disengage the clutch completely, so im putting spacers behind the pressure plate to fix the issue, ill post pics so you can understand better.
Stay tuned, this should only take 3-4 hours at most. (yep im that used to taking that damn engine appart and putting it back together lol)
