Oh and one suggestion, that stock steering wheel looks wayyy out of place in your interior.

petrified.rabbit makes a short shifter. PM him.

Well I applaud you in being one of the few people in the world to have a turbo on this car. Good job, well done.

You make me laugh though. You're worried about insurance so you won't replace the steering wheel, but you'll put a turbo on the car. You do realize that if you do, (and I hope you never do) have an accident which damages any part of your engine, your insurance company is not going to cover you right? You can scream Magnusson Act til you're blue in the face, but they are still going to drag it out in court for several years where the burden will be on you to prove that your modifications didn't cause the accident.

Anyways, thank you for the information.

Don't they make aftermarket steering wheels with air bags in them? I know it's pricey, but still worth looking into.

Oh and Nemasys, are you still running the stock axles or did you use the ones from the 2.0L also, and if so was any work required to make them fit?

      Work has started!

The head is off and it looks like its only the headgasket, i dont see any damages to the head nor the engine block or the pistons.

I have alot of pics so here goes!

      Exhaust manifold removed:

Valve cover off ready to take off the cams:

Head and stock headgasket removed, everything looks good:

Here is the head, no signs of damage here either:

      Heres a few more pics.

ARP studs installed with the headgasket. Head is ready to go back on:

At this point the head is reinstalled along with the cams, i am in the process of re-timing the engine and installing the timing belt.
