Power gain, about 135 hp now compared to 105, gas mileage about 30-50 km less per full tank
You cannot swap the 2.2 ecotecs in these cars without extensive modification, custom engine mounts etc. Plus if you wanna put the 2.2 ecotec, you will need the wiring, ecu, tranny, custom instrument cluster, custom axels, fuel system probly, its almost endless.
The engine comes from a Chevy Optra (Suzuki Forenza in the states)

lol the 2.2 might have cost just a little more though :P
in order to use the transmission and factory wiring harness in the rest of the bay, and plug the computer in etc, you have to use and engine from the same manufacturer.
even though they both say chevrolet. We have very little in common with cobalts and cavaliers. The 2.0 is out of a Daewoo or something manufactured similar to out car.

If you arent going to reconnect the valve cover to the intake, you might want to plug up the line for it on the intake.
i noticed that motor has a cables to the TB....so does that mean that the drive by wire cars wont work?
Since you are using the 2.0 computer, there is no DBW anymore. You will need a throttle cable though.
