      AVEO motor removal??

@ 3:45 This is NOT how to remove your Aveo motor if you like n appreciate our Aveos. Sadly this Aveo's motor was removed with an excavator for Aluminum scrap and to access the catalytic converters so they could be removed easily. Note my reply in the "comment section". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bIdBDdYPggc I know, for me, this carnage is disturbing to watch.

I was in a junkyard yesterday, and I don't know what I prefer... a quick dead, or a slow one rotting under the sun.

I have pondered the same thing. Ex, the 1939 International school bus named "Furthur" Ken Kesey n his Marry Pranksters drove, in 1964, from CA to NY to Canada n back to Oregon rotted peacefully in a beautiful pine forest until it was pulled out in 2005.That end fitted the spirit of that "magic" bus. The red Gen 2 was a top of the line LT ,which could have been a proud donor or even repaired and put back on the road. Instead, it was killed for just scrap by the pound. The takeaway, if any Aveo owner is planning on long-term ownership, buy some body parts cheap and store away if space is available.

AGEED....I've always preached the gospel that if you are planning a long-termed ownership, one should put away some parts as space permits. I've stored some extras in an old barn in back. Really would like to buy sheet metal such as an extra hood, trunk, tail lites, (R) & (L) fender. I'm waiting to find a local owner of a donor Aveo who is selling parts cheap before it goes to the crusher.
