no its not the same as the 08 i tried that. n i don't know if hard wiring it is a good idea caz i don't want to void my warranty. will it?

It will not void your warranty. If you have a fire and it was caused by you hard wiring the stereo, it will void it. Read up on the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.
