      Re: The Blue Nose

I decided to finally get around to doing something Ive long wanted to do. I went out and picked up an inexpensive CTR front lip spoiler.
I started by sectioning it right down the middle and took if i remember 4 inches out (2 in each direction) That ended up being too much so I had to epoxy an inch back on, no biggie.

I also had to heat bend the two sides to get a better fitment to the curvature of the bumper, I was actually suprised at how decent it already lined up, how ever due to the some aysymetry (of either the part or car) its a bit off when I was cutting/ bending but I can work with it.

In the pics they dont meet, however, that is due to the left side not fitting soo snugly to the bumper. when it does the two halves meet perfect.

What sucks right now though is lastnight while spraying the last 2 lips on my wheels i ran out of paint, now I need to find some Toyota Medium Blue paint.
Also, my heat gun died while working on the lip and I need it to massage areas for better fitment.

Looks pretty good. How do you plan on rejoining the pieces together?

      Re: The Blue Nose

Im going to start off with some Epoxy glue, then Ive got Epoxy resin left over from school projects so Im just going to layer some fibreglass strips on the inside to reinforce the bond.

Nice.... now tint your headlights or get black ones from internet... Or take them apart and paint them... I think that would look sick IMO... I just went with eBay halo black housing headlights...
