I checked on it today, but the catalog was a little misleading. I decided to decline it. Besides for that price I could just Fix what I have with some left over body fill, some sandpaper, and a can of spray paint.

Yea, I got a buddy who can do body work, I'm sure he will have some ideas. otherwise for the size of the holes I could just fill with epoxy glue and sand it smooth. They aren't really all that big. It's so ungodly hot right now, and I have other projects that I want to work on, so the car is kinda just sitting (not having work done to it) until I get my Braces from throwdown, who still has not e-mailed me back on the arrival estimate.

      GM Alternate Parts Catalog
The part is under liftgate > ext trim. You can get it at the wholesale price Rabbit mentioned.

That is the same price the dealer offered me. And probably still does not come painted. The whole point was to avoid painting. Filling a couple of holes is not difficult especially in plastic. I'm in no way a body and paint guy, but i'm sure I could get what I want if I chose to do it. Like I said before, I'm just going to take it to a buddy of mine, And have him help me fill, sand and paint the piece with a few rattle cans and whatever else we decide we need. Thanks for the help guys, I'm beyond the tailgate issue now, and looking for the next thing to fiddle around with.

Oh and got an update from throwdown, They are still waiting on the parts to come into stock so it will be a bit on my UR braces. Hopefully very soon.

Ok I refuse to post pictures of it until I get a better bracket in place, and a little more refinement. I got my cold air intake installed. It's a used piece of 2.5 inch exhaust pipe bent to 45 degrees and cut to length. One end flanged to 3 inches for the filter. I had the pipe cleaned up inside and it is now down to bare metal, so it's almost like new. This connects to the factory rubber pipe that went to the stock intake. My bracket that holds it all in place is where I need the refinement, as right now it's a flat piece of metal, a hose clamp and a piece of wood to make up for the hose clamp being to big. It does work, and there is a noticeable difference in the car.

The cost can't be beat as I got the pipe for free and only had to pay for the hose clamps and filter. Total cost is less than 30 bucks. I have decided to save up my money for a chrome intakes or other nicer set up, but for now this will serve my purpose very well.

Oh, that wasn't bad at all. I don't have any pics as it was dark and a I need something to do kinda decision. I don't think it was even all that nice outside, kinda cold lol. Any way, the box is on the passenger side in the fender well. there should be a piece of plastic that can be easily removed or even just moved with a few small bolts. I recommend putting the car on a jack /stand and taking the tire off for ease of access and a little height. Once you are in there I believe it was just a few bolts holding the resonator in place, and it just slides into the air filter box. It came out really easy and should take less than an hour to achieve. I think there is a post of this on the site somewhere, a search should find it. Good luck.

Finally some good news. The UltraRacing bars I ordered back in May are finally in the states. The container will be arriving sometime this week, and the parts will be shipping directly from customs to me. Apparently UltraRacing USA ran into some trouble and closed it's doors, so the parts have to come in from overseas now. Throwdown is working on the issue.

All that aside, I will have pics of the parts and the install when it all comes in and I get to work. Look forward to some pics.

Also my engine threw a P0340 code the other day, It was a camshaft position sensor malfunction, it was recommended that I reset the ecu and see if it pops up again, hopefully it was only a hiccup and I don't need to spend 50 bucks to replace the part.

Oh and what signs should I look for to see if My timing belt needs replaced or not, I peeked under the top cover and what I could see looked good, but I want to get a better look soon.

easiest sign to look for is the odometer.. if there is a 6 in the ten thousands spot, replace it.
