If you do not have ABS pump your brakes in the snow to avoid ass spin, not put studs on.
You know, if you can't get the car stopped properly, stay off the road. If you don't want to follow my advice, do as you like. My advice is 4 tires or none, but if you are going to get only 2, put them in the rear.

Any good shop will recommend that. The studs are not only traction to move forward. It's actually more important to stop than to move forward.
