      Sorry

Not to start any trouble or a fight, but I have to totally disagree with studs on the read tires of a front wheel drive car. I mean c'mon. the studs are for traction to move you forward in hard pack snow and or ice, not stopping power. the only way studs on the rear are going to help is if it is four wheel or all wheel drive. If you do not have ABS pump your brakes in the snow to avoid ass spin, not put studs on.

You know, if you can't get the car stopped properly, stay off the road. If you don't want to follow my advice, do as you like. My advice is 4 tires or none, but if you are going to get only 2, put them in the rear.

Any good shop will recommend that. The studs are not only traction to move forward. It's actually more important to stop than to move forward.
I leased Pontiac Wave from September 2006 to August 2011.

As long as they carry the severe weather seal of approval, they should be fine. I use Winterforce tires. They are great. You can tell right away when you compare them to all-season tires.
