the body kit.. not so much a kit. The one I chose is a wide body for a 350z. (i'll make it work )
Haven't had an update, had a few set backs that are finally being resolved. One of my students primered both bumpers, the hood and a few other parts with no hardener in the primer, which was right before christmas. By the time I got back and we attempted to sand it, it just gums up, and clogs everything we hit it with. Its been 2 weeks and almost all that primer is finally off.
The other set back was a rather large grinder cut into the edge of my hatch. It wasn't repairable (i didn't consider it repairable at all) So I go a new hatch and have restarted the shaved hatch, and bozer tail lights.
That is in process. I have also been dealing with all kinds of "teacher" stuff. So progress and time in the shop have slowed. It will be picking up again no though, just in time for a 4 day weekend.
Sounds like a lot of learnin' going on.
Thanks for the update.
Here is where I am at:
Basically redoing the rear hatch. I am doing it a different, but better way this time. It will look good.
The wide body is finally on it way. Special order delays bull ****..
I have more to fix, more to fit, more to fabricate, more to imagine and do. With all the extra work redoing body work to the panels I thought were finished, we are going to do some new mods. I get my new class starting Tuesday. The current class was finished today. Some are returning, some are moving on, some will be brand new. It will be fun.

More pictures of the early framing of the hatch:
Here you can see the main support that will create the body line that follows the bottom of the glass. Then I will put in the sheet metal above and below. Still have the pieces just sitting for the bozer taillights trying to decide if there is a better way to do it this time.

Looking good! I have wanted to make my Aveo a rally car for the last 6 years. But right now I am doing well to just keep it on the road. (Not that it's a bad car) just one of life's curve balls.
I'm sure they are just temporary. He usually runs a nice set of multispoke wheels.
