Welcome to the site. Can you post pictures of your car from other angles too? And at night? I wonder how you wired the headlights... And did you wire up your fog lights on a separate circuit or are they "relayed" into the parking lights?
Also you forgot to list the shorty antenna, de-badged front grill, and stickers on your hood. It's interesting that you debadged the front but put in large letters that it's an aveo. 8)
So many goodies for the older Aveos, welcome to the group.
=D>
our right i also forgot the all around new speakers (blew the old ones out :D ) Kicker in back and Pyle in front want to change over to all around kicker though
the fogs are on a separate circuit i sneaked the light switch for the fogs in to the cigarette ash tray (don't smoke) will post pics of that soon and i didn't get a chance to take pics of it from all angles with the decals on yet have had crummy weather and cant keep it clean #-o. as for the badge the stock grill was robbing the motor of too much air. I mean half of it was pretty much closed so i had to get this badgeless grill when i saw it. Want to put the descepticon badge in there later (possibly) And the people on those spray painted honda civics have to know what they're getting out of the way for on the highway. thus i have the giant "AVEO" decal. that actually was the first thing i ever did to this car when it was still "technically" my mom's
will deff post more pics
Nice. And I take it you wired the amber bulb to turn signal... also, I hope you didn't pay too much for the badgeless grill since you could've just debadged your stock one. 8)
i can't recall how much i paid for the badge less but it wasn't to much on ebay. and yeah i knew i could take the front of the grill off but i didn't like the holes left behind on the perimiter. i decided a clean swap would look a lot better, i think it's not too shabby. and yup the amber lights are turn signals i hooked that up on purpose so that i can get rid of the turns signals below. too much orange!!!! when i turn everything on during the night the car looks like a Christmas tree i want to make it a bit more simple and elegant. also thinking of putting black eyebrows on it to get rid of the leds and the eyebrow that's in the headlights. want to have just the halos. OO OO
Trying to "spool up" some of the BMW boys, are you? 8) They think they're the only ones entitled to having halos since they came out with them first... I wonder who would be the only one entitled to rear view mirrors then. :D
How does your halo rings look so much brighter than mine and how can I wire mine tonhave the drl off and have halos on when... Well whatever u did. It looks real
Clean.
I like the leather cover on the front , Would be nice for these MN winters . I have some paint bubbling under the very front of the hood. It looks nice on your white Aveo5 wonder what it would look like on a spicy orange sedan? How much was it?
EvySpeedy254 here's how i hooked it up.
-the two halos run off of the amber lights below and so do the leds
-the amber bulb is connected to the turn signal and functions as a turn signal
-the bulb in the eyebrow of the headlight is hooked up to the headlight so it comes on with the drls
also when i hooked these up i distributed all the lights to different wires so that i don't have everything hooked up to one wire. sure leds don't pull a lot of energy but im thinking if that's what you did it could explain why your halos are darker. and i'm actually thinking of changing the leds that power the halos to something more powerful. have no idea what though.
i decided that there was TOO MUCH ORANGE on the front so what i did now is took the two three way bulbs out of the turn signal and have just the light in the headlight working as a turn signal. i left the small side marker bulb in the assembly to have some orange on during the night. there is a side effect thought my turn signals flash like crazy now but i kinda like it. the problem with that is they will burn out faster and when they do here come the leds :D ill post pics later

its a hood bra not the whole brawl that covers the bumper (don't like those) that i got off of ebay for 20 bucks about two years ago they will probably still be there. i recommend when you buy from ebay that you don't buy from private sellers but from vendors that have stores there. i've noticed that if you google hood braws for instance you will get a bunch of companies that will have them and then you go on ebay and search it there will be the same companies that will be selling the same product only at a lower price. even with shipping included. i don't get it but that's whats going on and would recommend getting it. i think it would look good on any car you just have to take it off when you was your car because you will get i call it a "tanning line" right on the edge where the braw ends. its because water collects there so you will need to get some scratch remover it gets it off really good. regular washing doesn't seem to get it off completely
keepnitclean, I had the fast flasher problem too but an led flasher relay from superbrightleds.com fixed that issue. In fact, all of my external turn signals are some sort if leds now.
ahhh thanks for that advice ill try that out with a professional of course see how that works out im thinking about taking off those turn signals all togethr its too big long and bold for me and theres one already in the headlight it self so no need. but another question been asking everyone here where in the world u get the fog lights mine doesnt have it stock it has a plastic cover. want to kno what will fit and where to find it. and how to mount it if you happen to know
nice aveo!!~ whats the ebay user that sold that bra?
EvySpeedy254 go to advanced auto or to ebay and find the smalest aftermarket foglights you can find. then comes the hard part you need to get under the car remove the wheel well covers free up the corners of the bumper. basicaly remove half of it because you cant get to the two screws holding those plastic things in place. take them out and cut the back off because youll want to put them back in after you install the fogs. the bumper itself is bent all wierd back there. just plain ugly. finaly need to make some hangars to atach the fog lights in place so that they hang right in the center of the hole of the plastic covers. run the wiers into the interior and hide the button in the ciggarette ash tray :) plain and simple. sort of.
not sure of the company that made my hood braw got it a long time ago. but i just checked if you type in chevy aveo hood braw. the company that has the camaro on the picture and it says custom hood protector on it seems like what i got.
Another option for fog lights is getting the OEM ones, they will fit with no cutting and stuff... And they're pricey ($70-80 for the pair is the cheapest I found on eBay when I looked for them before the body kit)... But they fit without any cutting. You'd still have to run the wires, install a relay (if you want them coming on only with parking lights on and stuff) and the switch inside. Aftermarket switches are $5-10 dollars... OEM one is quite a bit more than that... (it usually goes from the factory in place of the black circle to the left of your hazards button).
serega12 you are absolutely right they are too expensive. i prefer to do my own stunts and it turned out looking good.
btw serega12 i watched your video and couldn't help but notice your accent where are you from?
Grew up mostly in Ukraine. My name is russian. Fluent in both, but mostly speak russian at home, my wife is russian.
thanks alot guys. finally someone answered my question o fog lights im looking into it now to purchase.

where did u get that bra and roof rack?? interested in selling?
serega12
hey dude that's really cool. i'm Ukrainian too. moved here when i was 9 now 19 ;)
oscare003
the roof rack and braw are from ebay. roof rack was a private sell. bought it used from a guy now i see why he sold it. its universal so it doesn't fit 100% right and it kinda dented up my roof. i recommend putting up the 200 bucks to get a roof rack system that was actually made for this car if you don't want dents in it. i'm not really selling those two. since my car is already dinged up ill keep using the rack maybe try to figure out some kind of solution to keep it from damaging my car anymore. the braw is 30 bucks on ebay
hey serega also wanted to know the led taillights did they match your headlights perfectly? were they the same flat black on the inside. they seem like they're more shiny then the headlights. im kinda stuch between getting those black alteza headlights that are out for it and the ones you have
Well, they're not the same type of lights... For one, Altezza lights come with flat black plastic inside from what I could see, and clear lense. LEDs come with shiny plastic, but the lens itself is smoked, so it looks differently. And one thing I gotta tell you, very rarely will people see both your headlights and taillights together. I'm biased towards LED ones since I've always preferred LED tail lights to any other type out there, plus they shouldn't burn out for a while.Quote:

The plugs for bulbs in the aftermarket LED ones are flush... so you'll have to take a 2x4 piece of wood, a hammer, and bend in the metal behind the light a little, right next to the wire bundle, just to help the light go all the way in. Otherwise it won't fit. Both me and master_mind_05 on here had to do that for our lights to fit. You can ask h3llfir3 about his altezza lights.
But like I said, I'd go with LED over altezza any day, but that's a matter of what you like more.
thanks serega for the input. i wouldn't have known that unless i would have bought them. im not sure i wanna start putting a 2x4 to my car just yet. but if i get them at least ill know that in 21st century you still cant go wrong with the good old Russian way of hitting something with a sludge hammer, approach.
LOL.. it only has to give just a little bit, maybe 1/4-1/2", so it gets in all the way... like I said, it's just a flaw, but didn't stop me from installing them.....Quote:
