Missing our beloved 1st gen Aveos everyday!
Silence is golden. Duct tape is silver!!
04 Aveo (mine gone but never forgotten)
07 Aveo 5 (wifes car gone but never forgotten)
02 Suburban (Eats gas stations as snacks)
12 Cruze Eco 6MT (46mpg daily? Holy crap!)
12 Sonic 2LT (Wifeys new wheels)
Chevoo-1/2 Chevy, 1/2 Daewoo. I mean like WTF?
Spec-r and i dropped some serious cash into our kits and the damn thing still aint done. the aveo is a bitch to try and fit things. not a whole lot of room to work and of course when you are missing a crucial piece, that dont help things along either.
anywho, i like the konig aveo and would love to be able to hop in and take it for a spin.
You can not commit crimes in a Aveo. Its just not fast enough.
its a nice concept but the ecotec swap sounds like too much....it would be nice to see a shop work with the 1.6L and do a rotrex supercharger setup.....make the 1.6 high-reving and put a good size rotrex on there and you could make enough power to make the aveo quick...less work, plus now that jackson racing is using rotrex's in their kits, youll better be able to find them in the use.
Now, I am not a huge fan of riced out cars (note the strange looking cheesegrader hooded model shown in an earlier post), but some rice is good. I mean, if it generates interest in the model, and creates more aftermarket sources, it can't be all bad.
Mind you, I am not in the market for a body kit or any of that, but someone may be. Moreover, when aftermarket suppliers start taking up a car, they offer other cool aftermarket supplies, not just body kits, but guage kits, interior upgrades, custom (model specific) audio supplies, and the likes.
I don't see the Aveo going away anytime soon. Talking to the local dealership this afternoon while I was getting the oil changed, one of the salesman told me that the Aveo was their top selling car in the last couple months. With the gas prices and such, it would make sense. The craze is catching on.
I figure it won't be long before you see a growth in Aveo aftermarket supplys, at least I hope so.
4 wheels, 4 doors, 4 cylinders, 8 speakers, and 1 loose nut on the steering wheel driving the car!

high gas prices = more aveos bought = more aveo aftermarket = woohoo!

Hey everyone! I think that car was engineered pretty well. The swap was good, and everything looks clean and presentable. Love the exhaust relocation... I'd love to hear it and see it in action in PERSON!
I don't understand the width of the rear tires, however. Usually, you see a track car with wider rear tires-you know, the big performance stuff?! I don't see why the wheel-well would get in the way if they relocated everything else? Is it the size of stuff in the back? HHHMMMM....

These are good, but I still want to hear and see it IN PERSON!!!!!! When it comes to performance vehicles, video and pictures can only take it so far....Originally Posted by o4aveohb
