      Nice! I like it, just already had a cut spring pop out of it's place and puncture my front tire when going 65 MPH (about 9 years ago on my Geo Metro hatch with 3 springs cut), wasn't a pretty sight...

      What did you do to secure the springs in place now that they're shorter? And there's a thread on here on modifying/converting some VW springs to fit these cars. pertrified.rabbit had it transferred from a different Aveo forum.

      Stainless steel zip ties. I'd invest in some H&R lowering springs though...

      This is an old thread.this was when my car was on factory coils with two cut off. I would not recommend cutting coils. IMO opinion it is not safe. My car is now lowered on h&r coils. You can find it on a more recent thread. If you wanna lower your car I would do h&r springs or coil overs it's the safer route

      This is an old thread.this was when my car was on factory coils with two cut off. I would not recommend cutting coils. IMO opinion it is not safe. My car is now lowered on h&r coils. You can find it on a more recent thread. If you wanna lower your car I would do h&r springs or coil overs it's the safer route
