Thanks!
Yea, I'm going to buy this Stereo soon to replace the factory one. Kenwood DPX300U CD receiver at Crutchfield.com
I'm pretty sure the speakers aren't stock, they sound way TOO nice.
I also plan to have my dad help me sandblast and re-paint the front wiper arms. I found them online for $26 ish a piece. He has a bead-blast cabinet and paint that he uses on his guns. He told me that 10 years from now it still won't rust. He said it's the kind of paint they use on motorcycle engines.
The only rust on the car is in the back driver side wheel well under the lip. I'm going to have the two little spots fixed before it spreads. Then it will be done, other than maybe little changes here and there. I'm a college student at the moment and funds are kinda tight...
I would love to eventually change the rims, however I'm not entirely sure I will. I don't mind the stock look, I don't think I'll do like some owners and change every little part on the car and it not look stock. lol
It's kinda hard to plan anything for Chewy right now, since I'm SO busy with my college classes.
I get on here nightly before bed, and sometimes in the mornings. lol
Thanks for asking,

How did you remove aveo ls and chevy emblems>? i tryed to on a past honda and it messed everything up plus i broke the H. I just want to remove the front emblem like you did. and remove the aveo ls part. the back emblem i want to paid red like my car or black. MY colors for my car a red white and black. ATLANTA FALCONS FAN. i want to put a red led in the mph and rpm but i have no idea how to do this and past people have told me it takes forever... i would also like to put red where all the green lights are for example the temp from hot to cold and etc. any tips on removal of these and installing new lights would be greatly helpful. also where did you buy the replacement bulbs?
For the front bowtie, you have to take off 4 screws to get the grill off, then about 8 more to take off the front chrome/chevy emblem, just get intimate with your car and explore the body..
Anyways.. for the "Aveo LS", you will need a hair dryer, I use 30 pound fishing line, it's cheap and doesn't break, and bug and tar remover, I use Turtle Wax T-520A Bug and Tar Remover Trigger - 16 oz. : Amazon.com : Automotive, it gets the job done.
But to remove it, use the hair dryer on it for roughly 45 seconds, and about a hand lengths away, and then just keep heating it up til you can wiggle the letters, sometimes you can pull it off, but if not, get the fishing line and "floss your teeth" with it, but not your teeth, the letters, they come right off!
Then after you're all done, heat it up a little more, then spray on some bug and tar remover, then wait about 2 minutes, then give 'er a rubbing, use elbow grease and really rub it down, just rinse and repeat with this step until it's gone.
For the rear chevy emblem, unless you plan to put the rear emblem back on, don't take it off unless you want to use some bondo and paint for the 2 holes.
Picked up vht niteshades today. Probably gonna do it after school tomorrow.
Alright cool so to paint back emblem I should cover all body I dont want painted and paint it with being on the car...? And ya after I posted I seen how to take it off very easy. Lol. Thanks bro
Oh ****!
Don't forget to sand it down, I just used a scotch brite sheet, it works wonders!!
It's like a 6x6"inch thick sheet of steel wool like an sos pad.
Sand it down til it's not glossy or so.
I used dupli color acryilic enamel (Flat black) with no clear coat, I did 5 light coats 15 minutes apart.
If you want it to be shiny, you would either get (Black) (Non-flat/shiny), whatever, or sand it (flat) down after it drys completely (24 hours or so) and then clear coat it 3-5 times light coats 15 minutes in between.
Just wet sanded with 1000 grit, on the taillights, then gave em 4 light coats of vht niteshades. They look great. In 24 hours I'm going to sand (1500 grit) and clear coat, 24 hours, and then 2000 grit, and then clear coat, then 24 hours, then put em back on.
