Actually I'll hate on the wing too. Sorry, but that style wing (not a fan of to begin with) just doesn't look right on a hatch. Thats why I like the duck bill wings on these. The rest of the car looks great tho!
Re: My Aveo SS (LS for now)
Thanks everybody! I'm considering swapping the rear wing if I can find a nice looking duck bill type, I really don't care for the OEM... I'm shoting for the Rally look, looking at rear fender flares now and maybe a WRX style hood scoop, funcitonal of course, I would have to build a ram air from scratch! But that should add some hp's
Re: My Aveo SS (LS for now)
have you seen the 09-10 factory large wing?
Re: My Aveo SS (LS for now)
to get that rally look, the hood scoop is a nice idea, but first, I'd swap to a 2.0L turbo/intercooled engine and make the scoop feed air to the intercooler..... Mazdaspeed3 style. As for the spoiler, ditch the wing and go for the 2009-2010 factory hatchback wing with some mudflaps around the wheels. It'll give a more rally-esque lok. Rims? I'd go for smaller 16" alloys. 17" at most.

tnks for the advice, yes I do like the 09 large oem wing, gona look for one, the rims I got to stick with the 17 I think they look better, the engine is a good idea but not just yet, u know cost... U think the mud guards would look better than rear fender flares? I'm on the fence on that!

Don't do the fender flares. It's not necessary and will spoil the look of the Aveo's line. Unless you plan on having a metal shop custom make the Aveo's fenders bulge out more, I wouldn't do it. It'll spoil the car's Italian designed lines. Besides. The original Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution didn't have them. And before you say "We didn't get that generation of Lancer", look at the Mitsubishi Mirage/Dodge/Plymouth Colt from that time and compare it to the Lancer of the time. We just didn't get the turbo AWD version.

Re: My Aveo SS (LS for now)
Tnks for the imput, and tnks everybody for the posts, I guess some people liked the wing but after a week having it on it started to look kind of obnoxious, u know u got to try stuff sometimes to see if it works! I got the wing off this morning and ordered a stock duck bill, not my favorite but the 09 version is $200! and I got this for less than half with means I got $100 towards my eibach springs, and on a deal like that, I can learn to love the OEM piece! :D
