Nope, I let my wife drive it to school while I drove an s10 we had, well she never checked the oil and ran it almost dry.

Quick question, does anybody know the fuel capacity for the 09 aveo5? I'm asking because the dealership gave me the car with a full thank and I'm trying to record the info on my iPhone app. So I can track my mpgs

Haha, that sucks. My girlfriend did that to my s10, broken wrist pin. She heard it squeeling but continued to drive it anothe 25 miles. Ended up with broken wrist pin, rod through the side of the block and there was chunks of metal in the dry oil pan. There wasn't much to be salvaged so I ordered a new block and started from scratch with stronger internals.

its the way the motor was made the 6 bolt motors didn't disburse the oil well enough to keep the bearing going just do the 7 bolt swap and be all better... good luck getting her back to normal...its a looong irritating road..
