getting ready to go to work.

Hope you guys like this...I like it alot but Iam trying to fix a bowing/frowning issue right now. The output on the road with these is awesome compared to stock headlights. I will never go back to stock headlights if I can help it. All in all this kit cost me 145$ shipped to my door. Go to The Retrofit Source online: headlight upgrades for all applications to get these if you likem. I already had a kit so I just needed to buy the bulbs and projectors. Now I dont have anyone flashing me because Iam blinding the **** out of them on the road. I will post up more future mods later.

HAHAHA yeah I hear you there but you get what you pay for. I have seen alot of other projectors and all of them are used or spin offs of these that are being sold by these guys. Plus these guys have customer service that is second to none. All Iam saying is if I was to buy HID Projectors I would definetly buy from them again. I drive alot at night so I use them alot and these make a huge difference over my stock headlights.

I did not take any pics of the process but you just bake the headlights and take off the lens like if your going to do the joey mod. Once this is done you literally just drop these in thru the stock halogen bulb opening. There is no cutting of the housing at all and yes I still have my low/high beams. I assume it will be more difficult to mount those BMW projector though. Anyways best of luck

It looks really nice, are those the FX-Rs with clear lenses? I'm planning to do a retrofit once I get some money from the income taxes, and I'm planning to add the FX-R or maybe the Lexus LS430 or 460 bi-xenon projector and putting a clear lense to get that blue/purple cutoff but I doubt the Lexus one will fit due to being really big even with the shrouds.
Oscar if you got the BMW projectors for free then its a huge improvement over the stock headlights however if you want better lighting output then I recommend you getting the TSX, RX or Murano bi-xenons or maybe the TLs but those are a bit more than the other 3 mentioned.

No these are the morimoto mini H1 and I get alot of color flicker and a nice color band too. I would have gone with the FX-R but I didnt want to have to do all that cutting and stuff that needs to be done with those projectors. They are supposed to be alot better but I was just lazy I guess, I would suggest something that is bi-xenon for this car though so the 460 or fx woul;d be your best bet plus finding the 430s will be a ***** and if you do find them they will be pretty pricy. Anywyas whatever it is you do you an bet that it will be alot better than stock and you wont be blinding anyone with the glare of a PnP kit. Best of luck to you !!

Well yeah the Morimoto Mini H1 are not that bad, usually it has a nice color flicker and almost the same as the D2S version of it. As you say you might be right about the fitment issues with the FX-R and cutting would be a pain in the ass especially with the LS430 when being so huge when our light aren't big enough for those projectors. The LS430 are hard to find and even more rare paying cheap money for them when those usually are often pricey and also referring to the S2K AP1 in being expensive also but it lack the mounting holes. What did you use to connect the bulbs with? Did you use the AMPs connectors and how?

What did you use for the shroud? I ask because I'm learning a bit and gathering enough information when its time to do my retrofit.
