It looks good! Where did you buy it?
Chevrolet Aveo 1.5L SOHC 8V

I got it off of ebay from chrome intakes
Looks good!! Not a fan of the short ram intake imo. Takes in too much hot air rather than cold. You get a better performance gain from a full cold air intake.
While sitting still idling you might get a little warmer air, but as soon as you start moving it'll get just as cold as ambient. I have a scangauge II so I can monitor intake air temps and I've watched this effect on a few cars.
The more profound effect comes from having a longer intake tube. The length of the tube will effect your powerband and a longer tube will give you better low end power without sacrificing hardly any top end power. Autospeed.com has some real good articles on this, here are a couple:

Oh nice, thanks for clearing that up for me, I have always been told Short rams take in too.much hot air decreasing performance.
Daox, I have a scangauge as well, and with my aveo when I had an SRI, even while moving was usually around 100* or so. My CAI is always right at ambient temp when moving
This has been a hottly debated topic. Im actually on the fence since Ive never tested temps to support or deny any claims. But based on the logic of the intake filter being outside the engine bay Id have to say the cai HAS to be drawing in colder air. The real debate is the difference in performance which I beleive is not enough to alter a quarter mile time or make or brake a lap time.
