Beneficiall, put the cans in some warm water before spraying. Make sure the parts are clean AND dry. Maybe great up lightly with a heat gun if you can do so without melting the chrome plastic. Just because you don't see the moisture doesn't mean it's not there. You'd know if you ever try to weld metal without preheating it in winter months.

Did you mask it off and paint it or dip it? Which plasti-dip did you use? It looks like a nice solid black...mines yellow and I am going to touch it up in places the paint keeps wearing away, like the locks. I thought I would just use plasti-dip.

Thanks sekhmet56. I masked it off 1 section at a time and sprayed rattle can Plasti Dip- regular matte Black and matte Gunmetal gray on the stripe. I'm going to change the emblems next.
