- 1995 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Z34 - LQ1 3.4L DOHC 24 valve semi-hemi V6, 210 HP, 215 ft-lbs of torque, 4T60e 4 speed automatic with O/D.... 123,000+ miles. Slowly resto-modding it.

i get 35mpg all city with intake, header and exhaust on my 5spd yaris hatch....
yeah z34, the yaris is better than anything you will get your hands on, enjoy your gas guzzling POS lumina!
too bad another thread got spammed by this troll stuff, it is his fault!
EPA estimates for my "Lumina" are 18 city, 26 highway, so I'm actually right on the mark with where my car should be. The car is so much fun to drive, that I forgive the gas mileage.
\And the Yaris is one of the ugliest cars I've ever seen. Uglier than a Pontiac Aztek, and the car will drive me right into a wall when the pedal sticks and the brakes decide not to do their job.
The Suzuki I'm looking at is rather nice though. 2.0L DOHC I4, 5 or 6 speed manual, with AWD. The car even has a small WRC racing pedigree as Suzuki raced it in the WRC for the 2007 and 2008 seasons. There are readily available aftermarket turbo kits and such so there's alot of potential in the small hatch.

pretty sure the sx4t is just a concept done by road race motorsports - - who make turbo kits for the sx4
you talk a lot of **** about every other manufacturer but suzuki? im not saying theyre bad per se, but good luck trying to find a dealer that stays open in this area.....
i drove an auto and 5spd in the first gen (pre engine change) and found them to be slow and unispiring to drive. i didn't like the side mirror locations and the goofy half window in the front. i didn't like the way the seats folded down in the back, either. however, i liked the 3 mode awd. gas mileage wasnt great either.
sounds like you're happy being unhappy, z34guy. keep driving your monte carlo....its hard to be no car payments (though maybe im jumping to conclusions?). but if the 15yr old monte is your idea of a fun drive, im not exactly sure you know what you're talking about.
thanks for going WAY off topic in my thread that has nothing to do with purchasing a fiesta.
Road Race Motorsports has everything on that concept car in their online catalog. I know. I've looked. As for the dealer problem, there is a well known dealer maybe 30 miles if that from my house. Look up Napoli Indoor Auto Outlet, Napoli Suzuki or Napoli Nissan. Same place, but they also specialize in classic cars. Last time I went there, they had the 1964 Pontiac Banshee prototype on display and for sale. The Suzuki SX4's turbo kit is also available at the Suzuki dealer so it won't void the warranty. Actually, nothing in Road Race Motorsports catalog for the SX4 will void the warranty.
The engine in the Monte is a major part of what makes it fun to drive. Yea it doesn't corner the best and the suspension is rather soft for my tastes, but there is alot of feel and feedback through the pedals and steering wheel, which makes a world of difference. It's the feedback from the car and the willing engine that make it a blast to drive. I drive that car I feel everything I need to about the front suspension through the wheel. I can feel every pump of the pistons through that wheel. My dad says it's because I've, and I quote "Become one with the car". it's more of a connection with the car combined with the feedback and engine sound. In short, the Monte has a soul and a passion about it I haven't felt before and THAT'S why it's fun to drive. I've had many friends drive it and say the same thing, and every time, they leave that car, it's either with a smile on their face or from me taking corners too fast and they feel nautious.
