      Swapped incandescents for LEDs

I'm in the process of switching out all the possible bulbs to LEDs.

      Interior dome incandescent:

      Interior dome 6x LED:

Rear high mount stop (3 of the 5 incandescent bulbs were burnt out at the time) and license plate (both incandescent bulbs were burnt out):

Also, the plug and socket for the upper bulb were melted. I had to get a replacement assembly. The same thing was happening to the right side, however, I changed it out for the LED right in time.

Rear taillights and flashers (I'm aware that I need an electronic flasher for normal speed flashing, probably get that tomorrow. And did not get a shot of the back up lights):

Rear taillights with brake pedal down:

Front flashers (I left these with incandescent bulbs because the left flasher is wired with negative polarity. Go figure. But I got a shot anyway):

All that's left is brighter high mount stop (4 LEDs per bulb vs 1 LED per) and the trunk light. Bummed about the front flashers, though.

I had to buy a 36mm Festoon bulb because the 31mm Festoon that I bought was too small!

I have a replacement bulb coming in for one of the front flashers and will try it again.

I got the turn flasher replaced. The 36mm Festoon came in and I blew a fuse. >_> Got the fuse replaced and it's all sorted now.

      Thanks!

I received the brighter high stop bulbs, I'll probably install them tonight, assuming my wife doesn't pop while I have it dismantled.

Also, the replacement bulb for the front flasher arrived. I'm gonna figure them out.

You don't seem to mind re working a little wiring. Why not just fix the polarity of the front flashers, at the bulb socket? Might be a bit of work. I think the rewards would be worth it though.

I will think of a better signature later.

Before I reverse/correct the polarity of the sockets, I noticed that one of the taillight socket's positive contacts were not making contact. Knowing that the incandescent bulbs go a little deeper, that could be the case.

I'm not at all worried about working on the electrical of my own car, so it's not off the plate.
