What is that gauge by the fuse box. What does it do?
RPM gauge, its a lot better than the stock one
just got back from my bank, car should be in my name in a few days if no money is needed, if they need money down i will have to wait until September 3rd to do the loan :P
my credit is weird though, i got my iphone with nothing down, ive had a capital one card with a $1500 limit and nothing else. All things i have applied for are always denied lol, but i just got a mastercard with a $1500 limit yesterday with no problem
ordered a new tire too, get it monday, my tire looks like a drag tire now lol
a tire?
yes a tire #-o
i hit that curb a while back and my alignment is gone, my left side tires wear out in 5k miles or so, the front left one is bad #-o
i was waiting to get my money so i could buy my springs, get them installed with new tires and an alignment if the strut is not bent and the rim is not bent either
i am still selling a assortment of items in the for sale section
you could just bump the thread(s) where you have stuff for sale. :|
:-k dont have anything saying anything is for sale here, figured ill put it here too
also have that yellow e-brake handle that does not fit, the aveos is a bit too wide
and that matching yellow shift knob, i want to try to get rid of this stuff before i move back to tampa
You could do a driveway alignment job if it's that bad that it ruined a tire. It'll surely end up better than it is, even if not perfect.
already did that the night after i wrecked, came out pretty good, but something else is bent somewhere im guessing
i had the hardest time driving it after i did wreck though :P
I hear you. I once bought a car for parts that had front end damage. The alignment was so far off (and un-fixable) that the front tires squealed constantly driving in a straight line :D The worst part was if one tire went over gravel and lost traction, because the other tire would suddenly pull the car off in another direction (without moving the steering wheel).
thats a pain, though i have gotten used to how my car is aligned, its going to feel wierd when its fixed, but ill stop burning through tires too lol
i get annoyed when the tire wears and it becomes unbalanced, cant wait to slap that new on
should get my tire today now at noon, got 2 free oil changes since it could not be done yesterday, and the bank called wanting me to come down with the money, though i want to extend the term of the loan to the 5 years instead of the 4, might be done today as well
tire and alignment done, thigns drives good, that strurt bar makes a huge difference
the car is now in my name, i owe $9300 on it, but i had the get a new tag for it, so i still have my old one, cost me $400, but thats $400 i dont have to spend when i get the miata lol
My payments are $203 a month including GAP insurance, hell my credit score is at 637 so I am doing pretty good lol
Wow... dude. My whole car with all the mods was just a little over that.  But it's good that it's in your name... who's name was it in before that? and by your name you mean now it's owned by the bank first, then you once you pay it off?
yeah, it was in my step dad's name since is was bought, so i had to transfer everything to my name and pay taxes, it was if he sold it to me
that was with 2000 down, but i owed $10000 and still had 4 years left at $300 a month, now i have 5 year at $200 a month, so in the long run im saving a little money and am building my credit, still am upside down but there is nothing that can be done about that
bank still willhave the title until august of 2015, i dont think ill pay it of, i need to build my credit and $200 is much better than the $300
You could always dump any surge in cash you get into the loan, like the tax return check or additional money not used for school. That way you'll kill two birds with one stone: get out from the upside-down situation and get the car in your name and your name alone, not banks, sooner.
it does not really matter who has the title to me, im only out about 1500 for interest (i got a good rate)
its in my name though, i just dont have the title
any surge of money is going to be saved lol

still debating on springs/tires or header first lol
What is that long sequence for hunter?
And i say lower the car lol get rabbits endlink kit like i did lol
its a key so i dont lose it
endlinks?
oh ok lol
And yes hunter endlink. its something you put in the front so your able to put VW coils on your car. You already know about all this. Rabbits been working on it for what like 5-6months?
o yeah #-o
nothing new to report, i did put on my decal, though the second one got messed up in the wind :(
ive lost all interest in it for the time being, well, i dont have any time for it :P
updated my parts lists, I will also put up my "track" numbers when the wire comes in as well
ordered xaio's header yesterday, should get it by the end of the month i hope
i love my headers lol. still loud though since i have no res and cat
i cant wait for mine, what did you have to buy extra to put it on (bolts/gasket)?
how much for your old manifold?
need it for something ;)
you can have it for what you are doing for me lol
also ordered a rear strut bar today as well
rear sturt bar installed today
xaio's header should be here soon
Mmmm, tell us about the rear sway bar! IMO its desperately needed. Just wonder how much of the sway it fixes. This is one my main gripes with the Aveo.
I have not gone anywhere yet, but I might take it out later tonight. Easy to install though
wow, the rigidity in the rear improved greatly, you would not think a little bar would make a difference but it does lol
a very good buy along with the front bar in my book
i ran a pair of 17.3xxx's on monday, 73 and 75 trap speeds, i have been hovering around 17.2-4 with my best time at a 17.1 on a cold day, 60 foot times are around 2.5-2.6 which is cool, I hope to crack into the 16's with the header installed whenever it may get here :/
Driving around more, the car feels so much more solid with the rear bar, I will get to test it out on the highway when I go back to school on the 8th
Ultra racing rear bar? I might look into it since i have no rear seat, that right there makes it even worse then having the seat in.
yeah, it really makes a difference, but without the seat it would help even more, there is a place in china i bought from on ebay, paid $128 or so, cheapest one on there
wow thats cool, i'll pick one up in the spring then, even at 150-160 bux its still a good deal if the difference is that good
yeah, its well worth it either way lol
I haven't noticed much difference when I installed the bars (a little, but not as much as "greatly improved" :-P), but that could also be 'cause she was already lowered and had better shocks... They did make a difference though. I think filling motor mounts with polyurethane made more impact IMO 'cause the engine doesn't rock back and forth as much when you shift.
