Whew, finished the part out for the most part, still have a thing or two installed, but that is it. Just had my synth. oil change and timing belt done for $600 (they also got me that brake light switch and installed it for free). I think I am going to take a break from the forum for a little bit, my email is thehunterooo@yahoo.com if you need anything, I also have my awesome facebook :)
I need a break from everything, I have been doing school work for the last 2 years straight, I finally get a month to myself!
Aveo is still going strong at 57000 miles, nothing new to report (only another 4 semesters and I am done with school!)
Just got some tint, looks pretty good, and keeps the Aveo a lot cooler on the inside.
Where are the pics?
I will get some tomorrow, I have been needing to update my pictures :D
New pictures coming tomorrow!
over a week later..
I may make you wait another week....:D
how will i contain myself.
Alright, enjoy them :D
i don't see them
I just edit the first page/first post
Why the hell would someone update the FIRST post, instead of posting continuously, for the evolution to be clearly seen? Who do you thing watches the first page instead of the last?
I have only taken 10 or so pictures of my car since I have had it, between all of my own BS on the thread, I thought changing the first post would fine so it would be easy to see, though there is not that much to see.
Car is still going strong, not even at 58000 miles yet.
Nice Aveo Brother :)
thank you very much, welcome to the forum btw!
I changed it at 56000~ :D (I know ALL about the timing belt, I talk about it at least once on here everyday ;) ) The belt looked brand new when it was taken off, but one of the pulleys looked a little worn but all is well. It will be hard to part with the car if I ever have to, that is for sure....
...very nice Aveo!! congrats!!
Everything is still going good, I have a vacuum leak somewhere, but it is only making the noise when it is not fully warmed up, prob something I knocked loose but oh well.
Konig incidents, they are nice, these are only 15s
I think I am going to take a break from the forums for a while. If you need to get in touch, my email is jgoss2@mail.usf.edu
Hey Hunteroo enjoy your time off! Hurry back!
:-D yeah, hurry back... why are you taking time off anyways?
Well the car is gone now (someone took over the payments). I picked up a 2001 Saturn SL1 for now until I get something else.
Oh, crazy. Did you make any money on it? What are you getting next?
Its probably for the best with the interest rates and such you had on that car..
No money, did not lose any money though, in the long run Icome out ahead by thousands since I do not have to make any more payments, whenI traded it in there was no way I would get back what I would have paid, etc...
I do not know what I want next, I am fixing this Saturn upto be used for the next several months, after that it depends on what job I canobtain after I graduate. If I am not making a whole lot, then I would be aimingfor a new V6 Mustang or Challenger.
If I am making a little more than what I think I will bemaking then I want a newer SLK.
I also want a Miata, one of the M editions with the Britishracing green paint and tan leather interior for a second car perhaps.
But I will worry about all this after I find a job ;)
Also, I see you are on to the Cobalt, nice car! I like the SC'ed ones over the TC'ed ones but they are all pretty solid and fast as hell.
Congrats on making a deal on the Aveo.
New? Crazy talk!Quote:

That's coming from someone who will never buy a new car though. Then again someone's got to buy the new ones and take the hit. :D
I think you should aim for a real mustang (one with 8 cylinders :P ) and then settle for the v6 is you miss horribly..
It is an automatic, with the stock knob that was painted. I bought a shift boot and put it around the stock shift plate/console thingy, it has held up good for the past couple of years though the paint on the knob is chipping and such and needs to be redone. The best way to do it is to take apart the console and look around to see what you can do, that's what I did. It is well worth the $20 I spent on the boot lol
Well long story short, I had a Saturn after I gave the aveo to my sister, I ended up buying a 92 Miata but it turned out to be a POS, loved the car but it was too far gone, so I traded it in for this....http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m...82464296_o.jpg
not a bad upgrade, BUT if its a v6 automatic, just keep that to yourself.
