what size wheels are those? Is it lowered at all? Looks good only thing id do is red some nice red lugs.
-
the wheels are 17s 7.5" wide. tires are 204/40/17s. it is not lowered. and it does need some lugs im still runnin the factory ones which look bad imo since the are made to hold the hubcap on the factory wheels.
-
Lugs are pretty cheap id do that first and lower it later. looking good though man keep it comin.
-
its comin along pretty good so far imo. im not really sure how low i would want to go with it but i think it needs done. i dont want to go so low that its a pain to drive(ive gone that route when i was real big into s10s) maybe an inch or two would probably be the most i would wanna go
-
Thats where im at right now its a pain to drive and i love traveling expecialy here in europe soim going to swap coilovers for lowering springs.
-
i dont even know what can be used on these cars to lower them. i saw some h&r springs on ebay thats all i saw.
-
you have a couple options h&r springs vw coilovers and one guy bagged his
-
air rides expensive and i rather not have to worry about losing air pressure or blowin bags goin down the highway. is your car lowered on the vw coilovers? if so i dont think i want to go that low but then again i could only find 1 inch springs.
-
Ya mine ison mk1 golf coils for that scrape the earth feel. If you do coils go with mk3 they are taller than these but still adjustable. I ordered my springs last week. Im making a thread on the pros and cons of both set ups so people that want to lower their car make the right choice for them.
-
ok do you just put the mk1 coils on stock strut or is it the whole new assembly (strut+coil) i will probably go with the mk3 if i can find a place to get them from
-
The kit comes with front and rear all you need from the old suspension are the body mounts. When you go to do the job, search coilover crosspost. It will tell you everything you need to know on how to do it. As for brands mont guys do racelands or rokkar they run between 300 and 600 depending on the brand. good luck

I just installed H&R springs, it dropped the car 1.6" all around! I was really surprised at the ride quality of the springs, really smooth and handling is greatly improved!! I would recommend these springs to anyone who is looking to lower their car without sacrificing ride quality!!
-
think thats what i might go with i dont want a real low ride just enough to give that look without sacrificing my ride quality
