I saw an aveo on cardomain with a "miles left to empty" gauge, so i checked mine out and uncovered it.
also a couple of other pics i took at the same time.

I guess the mile to empty is only on the new aveo's, man us people with the older 2004 aveo's got screwed, ive seen newer ones with leather, better looking guages, overall interior of the newer ones is far better than the 04's
is that only on the sedans?!?! cause that would be usefull on us hatch owners. nice neons btw, lookin fly.
Could you post a how-to for this. I have an 08 sedan and would love to uncover that gauge. Do you have to take the whole dash apart?

There was a time when people used to ask me at a stoplight "how much HP you pushing?".....with $4/gallon looming, they now ask "what kinda mileage you get?". I don't know if I should cry or laugh.
I did the same thing, but my cut was incorrect, and ended up exposing some of the white cluster package , Not a big thing, easy fix, but a pain in the ass no less..
I have been looking at getting a different cluster face anyway, possibly white.

Nevermind, figured it out. 6 screws, 2 plugs, a few tabs and an exacto knife. How simple. Thanks for the great find. I'm always really excited to know when I'll be paying $4.??/gallon again and now I have a gauge to tell me

so can we get a how-to? This looks like an awesome modification, I wonder if it can be done on the 04 hatchbacks
why did gm covere it up?
Its more fun to drive a slow car fast, rather than drive a fast car slow!
