just to let everyone know, the A16 header flanges is available in 5/8" mild steel ($60) and 1/2" stainless ($80), the same prices same as the T20/T22.

Good to see that a flange does exist... as soon as I can get my hand on some cash i'm getting one.
Great job on EGR port. Anyone who wants higher compression engine is going to benefit from that, plus ECU won't whine about low EGR flow.
is this so we can bolt up different headers? correct me if im wrong

thanks for noticing the EGR port, I really like what I was able to do with this. the EGR port is there but blocked off, this way it can be up to the owner to decide if they want to use the EGR or leave it blanked.

lol must be outta the loop so that flange is for our motor right (L91) i dont quite understand the whole exhaust gas regulator VS the electronic control unit thing?
THis seems great.. but im still not sure about buying it.. ha anyone made into a header yet? pics of it bolted on to the car .. as soon as i see a pic... myu order is going in.. im just not one for being the test subject...lol
most of the parts we do is for the 1.6's 'big brother' (the 2.0) so I don't have a complete motor, I do have a 1.6 head however so I'll take some pics and post them.

yes you can use a header from another car but look for one with primaries from 1.625"(41mm) to 1.75"(44-44.5mm) for the best fit. the only this that you really have to work around is the oil filter so it you choose a header make sure it doesn't kick to the right.
So if the EGR valve is blocked off, wouldn't the ECU freak out and keep throwing codes? Just asking out of curiosity because my knowledge of this system is very limited.
Yes the ECU would throw a code with the EGR blocked off. In fact, EGR is not bad for performance. It gives you better gas mileage at part throttle (i.e. cruise) operation and it is not used at WOT, only at idle and a part throttle.Quote:

You have a very good point. The only option I would consider before xiaogary's header would be a so called "test-pipe" to try it out, since it's only $50 made by a local muffler shop as opposing to $329 or $369. But other than that - I totally agree with you - xiaogary's header (even new) is the best thing to go so far for us. I understand that the test pipe woouldn't give me all the hp that xiaogary's header would, but it would be definitely less restrictive than the oem cat, am I correct? Do I have the right idea? :oQuote:

Keeping the EGR the way it is... still thinking about going cat-less with a test pipe though... :D I would love to have xiaogary's header, but don't have 300+ right now to get one....
