      Bulk Buy: Polyurethane Motor Mount Inserts - $35

      Hey all. I have come across the means of making polyurethane motor mount inserts for those who would be interested. These would much more durable than the rubber that the stock motor mounts have in them, and would come at a cheap price. I have already talked to mikedudley, and he is will to send me his for the mold, so we are all set for production.

      Have done this for my Jeep and my Probe that I had, and both came out amazing and made a dramatic difference.

      Anyone interested? As soon as I get a confirmed number of people and payment from enough to warrant starting, I will get these on the way. Turnaround time will be about a week max.

      Interest from:

      * xStevex
      * mikedudley07 - MTX
      * kirbycope - ATX
      * subachad
      * gonzokidd
      * y2daniel1981 - ATX
      * AveoSSSupercharged - MTX
      * K4hnArtist - MTX
      * Aveo_Tuner - MTX

      I can start these as soon as I get some factory mounts. Just ordered a set of the ATX ones from my source. If anyone has an extra set of MTX Mounts or knows where I can get them CHEAP, please let me know...

      Update: Mike is also wanting me to look into Full Motor Mount replacements. While this initial bulk buy will be for the inserts only (remove stock rubber, press in urethane lathered in lithium grease and re-install), I will eventually do some research with the mounts he sends me and hopefully design a better (if there is one) mount design to better stabilize the motor.

      I will try to get some pictures of the ones from my Jeep soon...

      so...motor mounts...who wants to help me figure out what to order for xtreme?

      (it was a confusing process last time.)

      need part #s for both auto and manual trans mounts.

      Would there be any risk in damaging the transmission mounts if the motor mounts are stiffer? ive heard this happening becasue of torque...or i think i have it backwards....but anways for 35 bucks? count me in!

      Re: Bulk Buy: Polyurethane Motor Mount Inserts - $35

      No you actually want them stiffer for performance. There is a potential that if they are TOO stiff, then it can cause a decrease in Daily Driver comfort, but they would have to be practically solid to do that...
