Hey rabbit, when do you think you will ship the kits?
This was a group buy, the kits components were all ordered using the money from the purchasers, I got an email about the links that they ill be shipped today or tomorrow. The other two (cut plating fro mount, and hardware) had a 2 week lead time. So I will probably be shipping in @ 2 weeks, I still have to paint the plates when they arrive, putting the kits together will take no time really.
Just got my "production" date on the plates, they will be made on 9th. So hopefully finished kits will be ready to ship out no later than the 15th. The links arrived today, and I received a tracking number for the hardware.
Bolts arrived today. So we are only waiting on plates to be cut.
So, in a surprise delivery, the plates came today, so everything should ship out thursday.
Petrified.Rabbit - thanks, got these last week and installed them over the last 2 days in amongst work and such.
Loving the new ride height!
Few quick questions.
I noticed 2 of the bags were 'RH' and had 3 nuts, while the other 2 were regular and had 1 nut that was a different color. This 1 nut would not thread on to anything easily. What is it for? Where can I use it?
Also - the endlink is nice and easy to adjust lengthwise, should I do anything to stop it from adjusting while driving?
Just went out for a test drive and noticed a bit of clunking that wasn't there before. Any tips? Should I tighten the top of the front shocks where it comes into the engine bay? Grease the endlinks? Tighten the endlinks?
the endlinks come with two jamb nuts, that go onto the rod side of the joint. I had the links supplier put those bags together, I didnt do it myself. you should have the joint on each end, with the nut for the studded connection, and then the jamb nut threaded on and the rod, then jamb the rod rod in place at the adjusted height by tightening the nut to the rod.
Greasing the endlinks periodically is a good idea. The solid design of the endlink kit will transfer some more noise to the car. I would ask as this has come up before, the rear shock tops, did you put the washer on the bottom side before the mount? if not, then the strut rod will travel up through to hit the wheel well.
Where is the noise coming from? how low did you go? pictures??
