No, they aren't shipped yet. I want to take a look at least at a handful of the pulleys, measure them up, and make sure there are no obvious problems.

I wrote up some quick instructions to help out:
1) Below being new, the drive pulley try to be able to use horsepower freely
2) The jack the car and the jack of the place stands under the car
3) Removes passenger's end plastic fender's spray guard
4) The use opens edge 14mm is the new woman, begins using the tension pulley to cancel the anxiety of fitting conveyor belt
5) Elimination fitting conveyor belt
6) The use driver hub, the elimination holds the nut or actuates the belt pulley few
7) Removes the existing pulley
8) In is under new, the installment actuation belt pulley, replaces the nut
9) Installs the nominated fitting transmission belt
10) Reset plastic spray monitoring, remove the standpoint of the jack

I wanted an engrish translation of normal instructions. Having replaced my timing belt I wrote instructions of the procedure and ran them through a round-trip translator. For example "Open ended box wench" translate to "opens edge 14mm is the new woman." I have been working in the tech field for some time and it's very interesting to see Chinese copies of American websites. The latest I saw was sparkfun. Yay! Let's Play Copycat - News - SparkFun Electronics So I got to thinking how would a far-east copy of the under-drive pulley would look like....
probably because u put "wench" instead of "wrench". I really need to invest in one of the jacks for low cars lol. seeing as how my jack wont fit under the front of my car. will have to wait till january to put my pulley on though.
Easy solution to that Red. Just drive your car up onto a 2x4 or something to get it high enough to jack up.
Spelling Spelling Spelling.... I can never get any thing right! GRIN. Speaking of low profile jacks: Amazon.com: Torin 3-Ton Low Profile Service Jack w/ 3-Ton Stands, Model# T83318: Home Improvement
I bought this guy at PepBoys a couple of years ago and I have been happy with it. It's heavy as hell though. I use it with my ford ranger and my aveo. However I do like the 2x4 solution, cheap, easy and effective.
Are these still available for order? I wanted to get one.
Yes, you will be able to buy a pulley after they are checked out and verified. We did order extra pulleys to get the price down for the group buyers and promote more people to get in on the group buy. Now that the buy is over, the price for a pulley will be $149 plus shipping ($5 to the continental US).
I just got in after doing the first test drive with the new pulley on. :D It fits great, and works perfect. The power gain isn't huge, but it is noticeable. This is exactly what was expected from this mod. So, I'm going to call this a great success.
The voltage at idle is a very nice 14.5V just like the stock pulley, so charging shouldn't be a problem at all.
The stock size belt did fit fine. However, it did squeal on my car while idling. Now, my belt is the original belt from my Aveo, so it is 5 years old and has over 110k miles on it. It is cracked a fair amount and I knew it needed to be replaced when I put the engine in. I am planning on picking up a new stock sized belt and I think that it will be fine. I'll update everyone on this when I get to it (probably tomorrow).
So, this means that everyone who has ordered a pulley thus far will have theirs shipped this coming week. So, you guys should have them before the end of the week!
I will be writing up an installation guide to show how to install the part. For now, here is a teaser picture. :p

Damn that looks sexy! I love shiny
daox;how much is the difference in weight between the two pulleys?(aluminum vs steel)------p.s.thanks for your time and effort on the pulley.:toothy10:
The stock pulley is 5.5 lbs. The underdrive pulley is 1.2 lbs.
This is great! I was pushing hard for this to get done 3 years ago. Its nice to see it has come to fruition. Too bad I dont have my aveo anymore :(
you should get the new sonic mike lol
Good news, Mr Doax!!
Christmas pulleys for everybody :P
They pulleys are all packed up and read to go! I'll be shipping them tomorrow after work.
They pulleys are on their way! I wanna see pics when you guys install em! :)

cant wait for it
Also, I haven't had time to install the new belt quite yet. I'm hoping it'll get done this week. Garage space is limited though and the weather has been around 0F out, so the motivation has been a bit lacking. It'll get done though!
Oh yeah! Cant wait for the new pulley!! Shiny goodness! Thanks Daox!

Daox, Thank you very much! I just got my pulley on and going for a wash and test drive with a full tank. I have pictures I will post. My belt was a really tight fit but it went on there. So far no squeal and I have yet to really drive. Full report later!
I may ask where can I order the underdrive pulley and what is the price for it? Also my car has less than 35K miles now, so my question is what are the benefit in swapping in this one with the current OEM one?
All your answers are in the thread below. :)

So, of the people who have installed their pulleys, any impressions/reviews to post?
So far only xintersecty and daox have said anything:

I did my change over the weekend while doing an oil change. I think it's a little quicker on the start. I noticed a audible change in engine sound. Has anybody else noticed a change? It sounds a little more meaty.

You can feel a difference. Its not huge but its definitely there. I'd say its comparable to installing a cold air intake on the car. I've personally used them on a couple of my cars.
I say that you can feel an improvement on acceleration. I have an auto an can feel the difference in power. After I installed it I took it to a dyno and i was rated 97hp and i think it was like 150 lbs of torque
