ISO oil filter cap

2010 chevy aveo in need of new oil filter cap and O-ring. anyone know where i can get one cheap? do parts stores carry these?

Cap can be purchased from a gm dealer either local or online. O ring should come with a new oil filter. Check your gaskets on the oil filter housing where it bolts to the block. Mine is leaking onto the cat and burning off. Dropping it off at the dealer tomorrow to see if they will cover it under powertrain warranty.

Ill bring that up to my dad who's a mechanic. He told me that he knows where it's coming from. He says that its coming straight from the cap and leaking down to the cat. so somewhat similar to you. The reason we are concluding that it's the cap, if you run your fingers around the cap, you get oil on your hands, AH HA the problem
Whenever i conducted my oil change myself, I tried to remove the O-ring to put the new one one and it wouldnt come off, but from me trying, I may have cracked it or damaged it in some way. so I believe this is my fault. I was hoping that by purchasing a new cap, that it would in return come with a new O-ring. kinda like starting over
