We also just got in a shipment of the new ScanGauge-e. Its a bit cheaper version with a slightly smaller display. We'll add them to the list soon.

Can anyone confirm (from personal experience) that the scangauge oil life indicator works on the Aveo?

I tried it on my 2009 and it would not work. double checked with scan guage as far as settings but no luck. let me know if you get it

That's what I thought. I called Scangauge awhile back and they said it would work but the answer came so fast, I was sure they didn't have time to look up an Aveo specifically. I had read on another forum about some cars not working and I thought the Aveo was one of 'em.

My free Onstar is about to expire and I've gotten use to the monthly reports with oil life but I'm not paying for 'em....especially since Onstar was so integrated into the factory stereo which was stored in the basement a couple days after I picked the car up.

you should try the ultra gauge, i have one and i love it, accurate mpgs, big screen, comes with suction cup to mount it and pretty cheap! UltraGauge Automotive Information Center and OBDII Scan Tool
