haha that Supra is bad ass... See the turbine fuse together at the end? bang! I can do that, but it's gonna take more than a Stage 1 or 2 kit to get that done...

Yes, it would be possible to do upgrades down the line. Just trying to gain interest for the initial kits first. I have everything ready to go, just having to wait on the fact that I don't have anything to use for test fitment. Just need the car and we are ready to go. I got an Exhaust Manifold off eBay for $10 and am getting a blown head from xStevex for shipping costs, so I should be good on that. Same company we got our parts from also has a used block for sale for $75 that I am thinking about picking up (tax write-off so why not?) depending on shipping charges. I figure I'll a full motor (minus cams that xStevex is keeping) for $100 so why not? Then I can put it on the stand and start bending pipes and getting stage 1 complete, then take it apart and form the piping for Stage 2. Then I just need a car to get some Dyno numbers on... anyone want to make a drive? Free kit if you pay for your own gas and a hotel for the weekend...

If you decide to go with the IHI TD04L from a Subaru WRX, I can provide some flanges for you. They are well sized for the 1.6 in the Aveo and can be easily upgraded if anyone wants to go bigger, they can just get an upgrade turbo for a Subaru. You can buy a used WRX turbo for about $100 in good shape.

The inlet is easy too as it's just a 2" o/d tube.

A standard T3 will have way more options out there than a Subaru flange. Not to mention the suby turbo will be a little overboard for this application. He is talking about using little tiny turbos for this setup. An audi/VW K03 or K04 would also fit in well.
And tulsa is only a 6 hour drive.

The subaru IHI is the same as the Probe IHI, they just have a different flange. The Probe uses a T3 style flange though, so it's much easier to adapt to than that...

Are you sure about that? The IHI turbo you are using is the IHIRB52 and there is no way that is puts out enough power for the WRX

      wtf

I had to join this most wonderful forum to post some info by another member wishing to remain anonymous.

I am an ASE certified tech and specialize in acura V6 motors and have done alot of custom work in regards to this. However the person who is a close friend wants to make a turbo kit for the aveo. I was directed to this thread not to sway people from buying a turbo kit but to bring up some very obvious questions..

      1) why are you mocking up using two old turbos that you have to make adapter flanges for anyways VS buy a cheap T3 flanged one brand new?
      2) as of right now you have free turbos and the only pic is not of YOU making anything..
      3) have you thought about what style manifold you are making?
      4) what about fitment issues(radiator fan etc)
      5) what about tuning....no megasquirt or FAST is made yet for this application.

      Thanks.

Thread edited. We don't want any thread hijacking here. If you want to become a vendor, get approved. Until then don't advertise within my threads...

Smaller sized turbo, but I am sure it will more than do the job for a basic aveo kit... These turbos also came on the Subaru XT and Subaru Loyal, but the flanges are different.

Aussie, like aveodude said, all T3s are going to have the same hot-side flange, but it's the size of the turbo that varies... a T3 from a Mustang SVO is currently the largest junkard T3 I believe...

Spec-R , are you saying that you are going to offer a kit? just wondering?

what Spec-R is right though, like I said on the first page, there is no way this kit can exist with any decent parts no bull ****.

I'm sorry if xtreme 2 thinks I'm trying to "rape the scene" as he put it but you cant expect to spend a third of what everyone else in the aftermarket does and get respect for the end result, sorry.

by the way Just got up some new products on the site, mostly turbo components, Aveo parts are in R&D! use the link below to check it out!

just noticed the price difference and the stage three is getting closer to where they need to be.

I do think it's funny that the idea that I had is being used in the stage one kit
