BTW, before I get to the testing phase, would you guys prefer a T3 or T25 for the larger kits? Still thinking about using the IHI turbo (btw, the Subaru turbos have different flanges than the Probe IHI) for the Stage 1, but thinking about doing some differences on the others.

Garrett seems to be using a T3 for his kit, so I wanna spread some variation out there...

We can provide many difference flange adapters if needed. Our intro kit will include everything but the turbo, so you will be able to tell us your turbo and we can provide a flange adapter to fit...

      T3 Turbocharger

      Compressor .42 Ar Compressor
      Turbine .48 Ar Turbine
      Flange Type T3 Flange
      Down Pipe Flange 4 Bolt
      Max Hp 325-350

      T28 Turbocharger w/ internal wastegate

      Inlet 2.25"
      Outlet 2
      Bearing Type Wet Float Bearings

As you can see, very similar. T25/T28 comes stock on the Nissan SR20DET, the T3 is the whore turbo, commonly found on the SVO Mustang, the Nissan 280ZX and 300ZX, and several other cars.

the break down is a bit subjective.

imagine a garden hose and a set amount of water volume. you will get a pretty high amount of pressure. now take that same amount of water (volume) and run it through a PVC pipe. the volume is the same but the pressure is WAY lower. so now what? how that the pipe is bigger what do you have to do to get the pressure back up? you increase the volume dramatically.

long story short, yes the T28 (in SOME cases) may produce more pressure but it's not really pressure alone that makes a turbo system great, it's the amount of volume it can move at that pressure.

besides the specs are a bit skewed too. the ones listed are possibly the biggest T28 and smallest T3 in common use.

Psi means nothing. It is all about CFM.

      Xtreme
T3 is just a type of turbo. There are different sizes/characteristics of each different T3 type of turbo. The specs you listed are totally unnecessary you this kind of application. A small 14b out of a DSM, the probe/626 T3 turbo, or a K03/K04 from a Audi/VW. The WRX turbo and the 2 turbos you listed specs for are overkill
